Croatian Wines on the World Map
Many visitors to Croatia have experienced and enjoyed the wines produced in the country. This has been confirmed by the Decanter World Wine awards of this year. Croatian wines are very high in quality and this year apart from the three recommendations, they received eight golden, five silver and eleven bronze medals.
The judges gave many compliments to the red wine produced on the Adriatic Coast. The year’s absolute favorite was the sweet white wine and as per the judge, Angela Muir was a true discovery. Amongst the others, the golden medal went to The Bodren Grey Pinot. The wine was compared to the world’s best dessert wine, Sauternes. A lot of recognition was received by the dessert wines. This along with the compliments given to the wine producers in Croatia, have put the country on the world wine map.
The director of Decanter, Adam Lechmere recommended the Croatian wines to all the wine lovers in the world and this will give a push to the number of visitors visiting the country. The country is very famous for gastronomy, the cultural events, entertainment and with the wine and the culinary offering recommendation achieved with the awards, the number of visitors will increase in the country.
